Comprehensive Corrosion Protection

Cortec’s Closed Loop Toad™ is a special blend of Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI®) powders packaged in a polyvinyl-alcohol (PVA) water soluble bag. It prevents corrosion of metals in three phases—below the surface of the water, above the surface of the water, and at the air water interface. When added to a closed-loop system filled with water, the Closed Loop Toad™ dissolves and should be allowed to circulate throughout the system for at least 12-24 hours. The system can either be drained for a dry layup or left full for a wet layup or continued operation.

Convenient Application and Startup

The Closed Loop Toad™ allows safe and easy hands-off application (no direct contact with water treatment chemicals) and allows an easy return to service since the product does not need to be removed. This makes it an excellent closed-loop treatment for systems that may be offline only a few days before being returned to service. The closed-loop water treatment chemicals contained in Closed Loop Toad™ do not include amines or nitrite; they also minimize environmental hazards and disposal problems after use.
